Superintendent’s Message

Thank you to all our Norton families and staff for a wonderful year. I hope that you will all enjoy these summer months to rest and recharge. I encourage all of our students to set aside some time each day to read. Find a cozy spot, whether it's under a tree, on the beach, or curled up in your favorite chair at home. Let the pages come alive with stories that will captivate and inspire you. Remember, reading is a superpower that opens doors to new ideas and perspectives. It's also a great way to relax and unwind during the summer months. So grab a book, get lost in its pages, and enjoy the magic of reading!

As we approach the special election for the override, I will be hosting a series of forums and Q & A sessions for the community to learn more about our budget and to ask any questions about our FY25 budget proposal. I hope that you will consider joining me at one of these upcoming events.

Message to Families about Network Outage

In an effort to remain transparent, we wanted to provide you with an update on the network outage. On June 12th, staff and families were notified that we detected an issue that impacted our network environment. Upon discovery, we promptly took steps to secure the environment and began an investigation to determine the nature and scope of the issue. This investigation is still ongoing and we are working with computer forensic specialists to restore impacted systems as quickly as possible.

While the investigation continues, our school and district offices are operating at a limited capacity. You are still able to reach us through our phone lines, however email and the district website are limited. We encourage you to use our school phone lines and to leave a message if you are in need of assistance. Special Education paperwork that is due to families will be mailed as it becomes available.

If your child is participating in upcoming events such as the Lancers Basketball camps or our Summer Enrichment program, you will be contacted via a non-NPS email or through Parent Square.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to correct this issue.

Grounds Clean Up Crew

Thank you to the group of students who worked to complete a community service cleanup project on school grounds.

Organized by Mr. David (“Pops”) Cuddington, the group started on the NHS grounds and then moved on to the HAY grounds. We appreciate your help keeping NPS clean and are grateful for your service to our school community!
