Good evening Norton families!
The first two days of our school year are off to a great start! I have been working to get around to all buildings each day, either for drop off or to visit classrooms and I have seen lots of happy kids at all grade levels. We love having our students back in our schools and are excited to see what this year will bring!
While today has been HOT, our students and staff have continued to build their classroom communities and learn together. We are keeping everyone as comfortable as possible, providing extra water bottles to students as needed and reminding everyone to stay hydrated by refilling as needed at our schools water filling stations. We are also encouraging staff to move classes to cooler spaces or to rotate through the AC portions of our buildings as they are able. Please advise your child to dress for the warm temperatures and to bring a water bottle to school tomorrow.
Our Athletic Director, Mr. Sumner is working closely with our athletic trainer and following all protocols for our after school sporting events, including extra breaks, tents for benches and cooling stations with misters.
Thank you for your continued support!
Dr. Jennifer O'Neill
